Is this for real?

106 degrees Farenheit was the temperature here in Lacey, WA yesterday. That may not sound extreme to you but there is NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! Our apartment indoors was over 90 degrees on the thermostat yesterday, at 10PM. I feel like I'm melting.

Playground fun

Pics again taken by my sister Michelle. Breanna has a blast whenever we go to the park. She thankfully now will do the slides, bridges, etc. by herself....rather then us doing them with her. I'm really glad that I got big during the end of the pregnancy, with no energy to climb/slide with her, b/c it made her have to learn some independence on the playground. This will make it possible for me to hold Ethan while she plays....at least I hope it works this way :) I haven't had to do it yet by myself with 2 and won't have to for a couple more weeks. My sister is here til Wed. and then Rob has thurs/fri. off and then his parents come on Saturday for a week. After they leave then I will have to officially learn to be a mom of 2. Scary, don't want to think about that yet, but at least he will be about a month old by then, awesome! Ok, this is quite a rambling post.....so I'm done, but thought I'd share the pics of Breanna :)

Pics

My goal is to write the birth story here soon, so i remember the details (for my "journal") but, until then i'm at least trying to take photos everyday of the kids...i took tons when we had breanna and i have to give ethan the same priority b/c i definitely skimped on the preggo pictures for him :)
he is such a good little baby...i hope he keeps this up. he's calm and happy most the time and likes looking around and just checks things out when he's awake (and not hungry). he's such a great addition to the family! the past 2 nights he has slept for 3-3 1/2 hour stretches at night!!!! wow, what a difference that makes to the first few nights at home where he would only go 1 1/2 hours between feedings. it also seems like he has figured out day and night b/c he's sleeping at nighttime now, eats then goes right back to sleep....the first few days he would stay up for 2 hour stretches at night....aaahhh !! keep it up ethan!!! you're making me a happy mommy!

We survived the first week!!!

Big incredible thank you to Pam Gideon for watching Breanna while we were at the hospital....it was so nice to not worry at all about her and to know she was happy!! Thanks to ward members who brought a few WONDERFUL meals we ate well. Thanks to the Kirkwoods we have gotten showers (since they ripped apart our bathroom 2 days after we got home from the hospital.......that's a whole other post) she also fed us lunch, calmed me from crying as they hammered away upstairs and Breanna was in heaven playing with her children. Thanks to my awesome husband the dishes got done, I got naps, Breanna was entertained and taken everywhere he went (even work when he had to get some things done). Rob, I couldn't have survived this week without you. You are my best friend and have been the best husband I could ask for!!!! Also thanks Breanna for being such a kind and loving big sister....you're handling all these changes so well....keep it up! Also, thank you for sleeping in EVERY morning since we brought him home (been getting up between8:30am-9:00am wow!!) And thanks Ethan for sleeping well now!
