Twins

Twins with their "bucket" hats....too cute :)

Park across the street

FYI.....we moved, again. We are still in Lacey, but in a new place. Our condo now has a park right out our window which we enjoy daily....lots of fun.

I love our new place, sad to move from our old one, unfortunately we had to change wards, which we loved, but our new ward is great so far!

Sports Sprouts

I signed Breanna up for a rec class that started last week and she loved it. They learn a new sport every week. Last week it was soccer and it was lots of fun.

We'll see how tonight goes b/c last week my mom was here and she sat on the side and played with Ethan and completely took care of him. (And took all these pictures)

I guess I didn't realize how much "parent participation" would be needed, so, it might be tricky tonight. I have my front pack so I'm going to strap Ethan in and hope he has fun (he usually loves the front pack but lately wants to be down crawling).

Tonight is t-ball, wahoo!

Snack at Nursery

Today Breanna had "Graham Crappers" for a snack in Nursery........

Guess I need to ask her nursery leader what's going on in there :)

I like it, but he looks like such a boy....not a baby!!! Don't grow up so fast Ethan...there's no rush!

Parents are visiting !!!!!!!!!

My parents are here and it's been so fun! Here are some pics of today. We went to Tolmie State Park, went hiking and then went to the beach.

It was so much fun. We went hiking yesterday and Breanna loved it and wanted to go on 3 more hikes, so that's why we went today again too. It's been 2 days of some sun so that it was perfect for hiking.

The beach was better then I expected. We went on a trail to a beach that had soft sand and it warmed up right before we got there and so the sand was warm too. We looked for seashells, threw rocks in the water, took a "siesta" and had "mysteries" to solve with Breanna's "clues".

Here's a funny.......as we were hiking my mom said to Breanna, "no way jose!!". Breanna turned around with daggers in her eyes and said,

"I AM NOT JOSE, I AM BREANNA". She then ran down the trail a ways, then sat down and pouted. It was quite hilarious.

Ethan the Explorer

A few weeks ago when it was sunny outside I put this hat on Ethan to make sure he didn't get burned (we were outside for a few hours and rarely see the sun here :)

Thought it was super cute. Wish I would have gotten some pics of him crawling around all over the place in that hat, it was adorable, but you get the drift....

Breanna was "hot" so had to have her shirt off like the little boys in the neighborhood (and socks and shoes). Mind you, it was 60 degrees.....heat wave.....and they proceeded to get out the slide and baby pool, fill it with hose water (FREEZING COLD) and slide into the pool. She had a blast. Am I crazy mom for letting her do it? Well, either way, she had a blast and I can't believe she actually wanted to do it, but we'll get what we can take here!

My new haircut (at least a month or 2 ago.....so not so new :)

Happy Easter.......Late

My sisters know that 2 is my favorite number, so 222 is the best freaking number ever, b/c there's lots of 2's :) I know I'm a nerd, but I was just going to do a post and it said that this is my 222nd post, so wahoo to that!

That's all I feel like writing for now. I'll be back another day.

Freaking Awesome!!

I don't know if you all know, but my dad is freaking awesome! Today is his "Re-birthday!" WAHOO! It was one year ago today that my dad received a bone marrow transplant. That was the beginning of a very LONG process that had already been going on for 2 years previous to the transplant.

Not only was it a miracle that they found such a close match for my dad, through the National Bone Marrow Bank, but the fact that he survived it amazes me every day.

I wasn't there to help out or experience his day to day survival, but it sure was survival. My mom and dad did it together, they are troopers and have endured a tremendous battle to beat his cancer.

The actual Bone Marrow Transplant sounds very big and daunting, but that was the easy part. It was all the prep for the transplant and then EVERY DAY AFTERWARDS for a year that my dad has endured all kind of aches, pains, fevers, rashes, nausea, vomiting, stomach issues, etc, etc, etc.

He really is like a one year old today. Throughout the process he was only able to have foods introduced to him one at a time, to make sure he wouldn't have a reaction. He grew hair from his head, where he had lost it during chemo. He has to be out of the sunshine and very protected b/c of his super sensitive skin. He couldn't go out in public for FOREVER. He couldn't eat out. He couldn't wash the dishes, prepare his own food, couldn't drive for quite awhile, couldn't be near dust or particles (not allowed to clean).....etc, etc, etc.

But today, he is in California with my mom, visiting my sister Michelle and her family. He is exercising, going on hikes, plays with the grandkids, can go to certain restaurants, they just planned a cruise for May, he went skiing, etc....

WAHOO! Dad you're my hero, I can't believe you've endured all of this. Mom, you're my hero too for embarking on this crazy difficult journey with Dad and suceeding!

HAPPY RE BIRTHDAY!!!!!
