Our Hotel

It was really nice....right on the waterfront, awesome view, bathroom was big enough for Ethan's pack n play (so we all actually got sleep ) and when you walked out you were on this walkway that would go all the way around Victoria's harbor.....so cool!

Feeding the Seals

Where the float homes are located is also at "Fisherman's Wharf" in Victoria. You can buy some fish to feed the seals that hang out at the docks. I read about this online and thought oh there must be tons of seals lying around....well we only saw two and they came when people had fish from down in the water and would leave afterwards, so I thought it was really cool!

Breanna's Grandpa bought fish for them to feed the seals and she was so excited! The pictures don't do justice b/c she looks wary, but she wasn't at all. She wasn't scared to touch the fish or feed the seals....I was worried not her, that the seals would come take her away if she got too close :)

If you would spin your hand or the fish around before you fed the seal the fish it would spin or twirl in the water for you, really cool!

After feeding the fish once I think Breanna asked 100 more times on the vacation to do it again :) She loved it!

Floating Homes

Before Rob's parents came his mom sent an email saying, "wouldn't this be fun to see". The link she sent was about "floating homes" in Victoria.

Well.....our hotel was a 2 minute walk to the floating homes! So, it was really cool and really exciting that we just happened to be right there!

There were all different styles of homes, pretty tiny, but there were some pretty fancy ones too.

Breanna hung out over the edge of the dock pretty much everywhere b/c there were little fish all at the bottom of the houses b/c the houses had seaweed and all sorts of things growing on them like docks have....that attract fish....so I was busy holding on to her the whole time!

We found a "pirate ship" b/c Rob and Breanna were searching for treasure the whole time....

Pretty Flowers

These were in a park in Victoria, I love them!

The Ferry Ride

We drove up to Port Angeles and took the Black Ball Ferry over to Victoria. It was a great smooth ride over there (the way back was stormy, REALLY wavy and I was trying my hardest just not to throw up).

The kids and adults really enjoyed the ferry ride. We hung out inside except for the beginning and the end b/c it was chilly, but whenever we could see land we would go outside and enjoy the views. While we were going it was really foggy and cloudy over the water, it looked like a cool spooky movie.

Tumwater Falls with the Grandparents

Before we set off on our vacation with Rob's parents we took them where we take all of our guests.....Tumwater Falls. We love the nice walk and the beautiful scenery we get there, and they liked it too, even though it was drizzling the whole time :)

Was it warm for you on June 3rd?

This is what we were doing........ on our vacation to Victoria......I couldn't believe it was June 3rd, we were in hoodies, hats, anything warm, but we promised the kids the beach... so this is what they got!!

Notice her freezing cold feet....most kids would have run the other direction when they touched the water, but it didn't phase Breanna or Ethan for that matter. I put his toes in b/c he kept crawling towards the water and no crying, just happy face, in that FREEZING water! I only put his toes in for a few seconds, but he wanted more, crazy baby.

Breanna and Rob threw rocks and had lots of fun...she ended up getting in up past her knees and then fell backwards and got soaked up to her chest. She did not cry just knew it was time to go then, we got her undressed and wrapped in warm blankets and blasted the heat on the way back to the hotel in the car.

Doesn't June mean summer? Apparently not up here :)

I love my family

We have had a busy fun few weeks. Rob's parents visited WA and we vacationed to Victoria, B.C. and to Port Townsend, WA with them. Then I flew with them back to CO and have been up in the mountains having a reunion with my family. Lots more pics to come, but for now.......

I love my little family :)
