Glass Museum

First of all thanks to EVERYONE for the great advice and encouraging words from my last post. Here's my update....this is the 4th day we've gone WITHOUT a bottle!!! Wahoo!! Now, it's been way harder for me then for her to give it up....wierd right?

The first night was the hardest, 45 minutes of crying, but after that it's been no more then 10 minutes and sometimes no crying. So now, I'm glad I'm doing it, but glad I waited this long also b/c I really don't think she was ready at 1 year. She was sick and teething for 2 months and I couldn't have handled anything else at that point :)

My only worry is that she has not drank ANY milk in 4 days. She will not drink it if it's not in a bottle. Any suggestions would be very welcomed, b/c I feel like she needs those calories and the hydration. I've tried a 4 different types of sippy cups, ones with straws and also just drinking it out of a cup (which is how she prefers water). I even tried chocolate milk today (a mom in my ward suggested this :) but she wouldn't even taste it!! So, I would love more help b/c she needs milk and she loved it in the bottle, but is on strike b/c I won't give it to her in a bottle.

Here are some pics of when Breanna and I went on a day trip to Tacoma. There was a ship festival and on the walk there we passed over a bridge that connects to the Glass Museum. We didn't go in, but these are pics of all the glass you could see in the bridge on display. It was an awesome bridge! Also, fyi, this was a SUMMER day, notice the clouds and Breanna in her warm clothes. Today is 90 degrees, finally, but man alive, it just does not get hot here!

Hurray! Way to go Breanna (but lets face it I think it was probably harder on you right?)
About the milk thing... I am not sure about how to get her to drink it other than what you have tried but at Emmas 18 month appt. her Dr. said that Emma should be drinking 1% or skim milk becuase she doesn't need the fat like she use to. I was SHOCKED! I hadn't heard of that but apparently as long as they are getting enough at meal times then milk shouldn't be as necessary. So Emma drinks water except for at lunch and dinner and then she doesn't even drink that much. It's a weird transition for me but just thought I would pass it along.
We miss you guys!
