The San Juan Islands are in Washington, NOT Canada :)

So we had such fun on Thurs. and Fri. We met up with our friends Nate, Ashley and Paige (from Spokane) and went on an adventure! We met up at the best breakfast place ever (they introduced it to us) Maltby Cafe. Fantastic food and it fills you up almost all day, even if you're pregnant :)
Then we drove North to Anacortes where we got on a ferry. The ferry was scheduled for Noon and we were the last 2 cars to get on. Rob and I left the house late in the morning, then hit traffic on the way to Maltby Cafe. We all enjoyed ourselves there and didn't eat super fast and then the drive was longer then the hour we thought it would take....more like an hour and a half. Needless to say I was freaking out in the car b/c I didn't want us to miss it and have to wait 3 more hours for the next one. Rob, of course was calm and told me don't worry about it, we would have fun either way. I told him I would be happy and calm as soon as he got me on that ferry :) I was happy to hear that Ashley was freaking out too in their car and Nate was the calm one, so I guess it's not just me. We pulled up at 1 or 2 minutes til Noon and got on!!! We also hit almost EVERY red light on the way to the ferry, go figure. But we still made it!

The girls had a blast on the ferry chasing each other around and the hour ferry seemed like 10 minutes long. We also had the most GORGEOUS 2 days possible, not a cloud in the sky and 70ish degrees. Beautiful. It was so fun to be with our friends and go do so many fun things.

We stayed on Orcas Island in the Orcas Island Inn. It's right near the docks and is an old historic mansion. Kind of a Bed and Breakfast. There were 2 "Honeymoon Suites" and the guy gave us a REALLY good deal and each of us got one. They were right next door to each other and had awesome balconies that overlooked the water and island and they had jacuzzi tubs :) Now, I'm really glad neither of us were actually on our honeymoon b/c the walls were SOOOOO thin! We could hear eachother the whole time and we could definitely hear the kids!! The bathroom was big enough to put Breanna's pack n play in so she got her own "room" for the night, which meant we got good sleep. Paige did better then they thought she would, she also slept in their bathroom, but we got more sleep then they did unfortunately.

After we checked in to the hotel we drove to Moran State Park, pretty much on the other side of the island and it took a good half hour to get there, so it's a pretty big island. We went on a little hike, which was lots of fun and family friendly considering there was a big pregnant woman with us and 2 little girls ;) Breanna rode on Rob's shoulders about half the time and hiked half the time, she did great. When we got to the top it was AMAZING view and had a sweet tower on the top which we explored. We had the guys run back down the trail and then drive the cars up to the top (yes, you can drive to the top if you couldn't hike) and get us so we wouldn't have to do another 1.2 miles back down with the girls, Ashley had this great idea, thank you !

Then we drove back into town and went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. Good food, expensive food :) All the restaurants were really expensive. I looked very stylish in the restaurant in my hiking clothes, yuck! Then we went back to the hotel and went exploring outside.....walked on the dock and then convinced the little convenience store to let us in at 8:30PM (they were just closing) so we could get some yummy ice cream and candy that we NEEDED :)

After that we got the girls down for the evening and then went to bed. The next day we got an awesome breakfast at the hotel, it was free with the stay, thank goodness b/c when she rang it up it was $50!! And that was just for Rob, Breanna and me! Then we went to town, went to the beach and looked for crabs and walked around. Went to the grocery store, got food and had lunch. Went to the State park again and hung out at the water and enjoyed the sunshine and water. Drove around, explored some more. Took the 5PM ferry back to Anacortes and then drove home, got there around 9:15PM!! Breanna was a trooper and we had so much fun the whole time. What a great way to spend Rob's days off! Thanks Nate and Ashley for the fun times and great idea!

PS- These pictures are in reverse order, I don't know how to switch it....also Rob took 99% of the pics!!! THANK YOU !!!! And lastly......for some reasone I thought the San Juan Islands were part of Canada, so I made us bring our passports....apparently they're not :)

more fun

I think she has swung for hundreds of hours here on vacaction

Breanna trying to boss the boys around

Auntie Monica getting their kites ready to fly. She spoiled these kids rotten with gifts :)

The "Bear" that Breanna can't stop talking about. She was TERRIFIED of it, he tried to give her a high five and she started bawling. But now all she can talk about is how the bear broke his nose, gave her a high five, and she kicked and hit him......so funny to know what she thinks about in her brain :)

Playing golf downstairs

Awesome jump house Auntie Monica bought and the kids jumped in for hours.

Jumping thing at the family fun fair that got Monica the idea of buying a bounce house.

Brendan doing a great job with the hoola hoop, Breanna trying her best.

Spoiled once again with Sponge Bob ice cream from the ice cream truck (Auntie Monica's treat)
Yes, Breanna is having a blast :) (So am I, of course).
