I caught a little smile on camera :)

Our new townhouse

We moved about 2 weeks after we had Ethan...so it's been a work in progress, but I LOVE it!!! Everyday I'm greatful to be gone from our other apartment........it just felt like living in a dark yellowish cave, which we endured for 2 years.

Now onto our fun new place :)
a> Painting the family room wall blue.....Breanna had so much fun and actually listened to all the "painting rules" and got to participate in 90% of the painting :)

It looks awesome and will be even better in the winter when it's gray and rainy outside ALL the time, it'll be our blue "sky" to look at :)

Yes....we have a red couch and a blue wall......so what I'm trying to do is set up an "ocean/nautical" theme. We just got a little lighthouse, a lifeguard buoy??(SP?), cute organizing baskets that are white and blue. I'm going to blow up and frame a pic of the blue ocean with the lighthouse in oahu (is red and white) and hang it too. My mother in law has some other great ideas......we're going to make pillows for the couch that match the curtains and then sew some seashell and starfish buttons on. Rob and I also are going to put sand that he collected from hawaii in some clear jars that he got from the ocean.....and then we will get some sand from washington beaches too and seashells for some decoration. I think that's about it. I'm going slow though now b/c I want it to look nice, and not over decorate or overdo it, just subtle things to tie everything together. Thanks to Rob for buying the bright red couch and making decorating difficult :) Seriously though I think it'll look good when we get it done and it's been lots of fun.
This is Breanna's room and will be shared with Ethan when he gets bigger. (Yes, she is still in her crib, but she sleeps 11 to 12 hours per night and I am NOT ready to change that :) You can't see very well the blanket and pillow case in her crib are Zebra and cheetah prints with bright pink added by my awesome mom. She also made coordinating blanket and pillowcase for Ethan that are zebra and cheetah prints with bright green added. I have some picture frames to hang up still that match the jungle theme. Anyways, it's very bright and fun and Breanna loves it.

I love these kids

Some things she likes

Riding on her daddy's shoulders....

Crabs....even though she likes them, she mixes them up and calls them spiders sometimes when she talks about them.

The mall playground

Orange cones.......she points them out when we're driving, she runs to one if she sees it when we're outside and has to look inside of each cone :)
Random pics, but fun little things that she likes.

WARNING: She's not scared of bugs

This picture is of Breanna holding a pretty much dead worm. She was "playing" with it by carrying it around and showing it to all of us. She liked walking around and finding new homes for the worm. This is not a special occasion.....she is very intrigued by bugs and loves to watch them, try to catch them, touch them and hold them. She likes ants, caterpillars, loves rollie pollies, dragonflies and more.

Just the other day she picked up another worm on our walk (this one I think was 95% dead) and carried it on the whole walk until we reached our neighborhood and then......snap, the dry dead part of the worm broke in between her chubby fingers.

"Mommy, can you fix it?" she asked.

Sorry Breanna, you can't fix a dead worm :)

So, this is a warning to all you bugs.....if you see a little girl running towards you, RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION....she loves you, but will end your life, accidentally.

Grandma and Grandpa Douglas Visit to WA

I can't believe everything they did for us while they were here. They cooked meals, helped with the kids and did errands we needed to do. They also CLEANED OUR WHOLE APARTMENT!!!!! We moved to a new townhouse 3 weeks after we had the baby and still needed to clean the old place, which they did for us. WOW!!! We had so much going on with the new baby, moving, Rob at work that I had no idea how I was going to do it.

Let me just tell you, the day they cleaned it was over 100 degrees here in WA, not fun. I went to clean too, but let me just say, I got 10 minutes of cleaning in. I had Breanna fussing about who knows what the whole time, Ethan screaming unless he was nursing and all of us were just cranky, tired and HOT. So, Rob sent me home when I lost it and started bawling with the kids and they did all the work that I knew I couldn't get done myself. Thank you, thank you thank you.
We had lots of fun too.....I will post pics on my next post and show the fun things we did :) But, this is a THANK YOU to them :)

Visitors

Breanna and Ethan's cousin Paxton

A rare pic of me with Ethan

Beating the heat, drinking LOTS of water

When did she get so big?????

The only pic of I have of Michelle while she was here.

Cousins hanging out!!

Michelle came and visited a week and a half after we had Ethan. We had lots of fun with Auntie Shell. Unfortunately she had to deal with the apartment renovations like we did, but it was still great!

Not only did she cook dinners every night (and she's a really good cook), she helped take care of Breanna, took me out and about shopping with the kids and on little walks.

We had lots of fun sitting in my room with the door shut nursing both our babies while we watched nerdy tv shows and listened to music with Breanna. We had "dance parties" in the car and got Breanna to shake her booty in her carseat while we got some funny stares at stoplights!

It was so nice to have her visit, and she took care of us so well. We ate TONS of her famous "perfect" chocolate chip cookies, b/c she would bake fresh ones every night. The only problem we had was Breanna waking up her son Paxton all the time and wondering who at all the cookies :)

Thanks Mimi! Can't wait til your next visit, I promise I'll be more fun then, even though we had lots of fun this time too!
