Have you read this??

So.......have any of you ever read the book "5 love languages"? I'm reading it right now and it's REALLY good. You can use it not only for your hubby, boyfriend, or KIDS too :) Everyone has a different "love language" and we all want to be shown love in different ways.

Um......FYI....I've been showing Rob love in the COMPLETELY WRONG way the whole time we've been married!!! So, my love language is a mix between "quality time" and "acts of service". So, that's how I show love to him........his love languages are "gifts"...and probably "physical touch". So, me spending time with him and cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, etc. is NOT his love language. He honestly could care less if I get that stuff done.

I should have caught onto this, but the book makes you think about this stuff.....I was thinking about it, on our 1st date he gave me a present! He ALWAYS gets me stuff for birthdays, v-day, holidays, and just randomly too. Obviously he's showing me love the way he wants to be shown love. I would rather that he just spent time with me talking going on a walk together or......I know this is lame, but did the dishes, or picked up his clothes, rather then gifts sometimes!!!

Great book, I highly recommend it. I'm not done, but I'm trying to think of what type of love language Breanna is, maybe she's too young cuz she seems to be quite a combination of lots of different ones. Ethan is DEFINITELY "physical touch" or "quality time" right now :) He LOVES being held, played with, etc....but he is only 6 months old.

Here's a link where you can take a quiz and see what love language YOU are :)

I left my husband stranded at the gym...........

WOW! What a crazy morning!!!

Rob and I both went to the gym but at separate times....he left earlier and I went 30minutes later when the daycare opened up. Right before he left I said DON'T leave me the van (it was FILLED with TONS of boxes with all our vending stuff for our vending business and there was NO room for the kids). He left the other car for me, yeah :)

Then we worked out at the gym......I saw him when I got there and then did weights with him for 20 minutes, then left to do cardio by myself, said goodbye to him b/c I knew he would be leaving soon, and then going to work.

When i walked out of the gym i was FOR SURE that he had left b/c of the time (it was way after the time he usually leaves to get to work on time)and so the first thing i saw was the van and i was like, "you've got to be kidding me......he left me the van, how in the world am i supposed to fit the kids in here there's no space!!!" i didn't even look for the focus!!!!!

i had told him that morning that i would empty the van, all the vending stuff, later during the day and so i thought he left the van.

where in the world am i supposed to put the kids?

i was not too happy, so i called him like 5 times and no answer so then i put the kids in illegally and told breanna she had to duck down as we drove :)

then i saw rob walking out of the gym as i am illegally leaving the parking lot with the kids in the front of the van with me, and i was like, what the heck?????

Rob, said, go, go, I'll meet you at home.

then i drove home......i was wondering what was taking him so long to get home, b/c he was already late for work (which he never is), but i was busy b/c breanna bit ethan as soon as we got home, so i was dealing with her, brought ethan upstairs, nursed him, put him in his crib and then went down to talk to breanna. I told her she had to do chores and help me unload the van before she could play b/c she had bit ethan.

that's when we saw rob......I had left him the other car.......but NO KEYS!!! he had to run home from the gym! he raced up the stairs, showered and left for work in like 5 seconds. so, i had no car for the day b/c it was sitting at the gym all day.

talk about a lot of miscommunications :)

84 degrees on January 15th!!!!!!!!

No, no, it wasn't that warm outside (I WISH!!!!)

But.........we got to go to the Great Wolf Lodge on Friday and experience WARMTH, WATER, and FUN!!!!

We got to go just for the day (the website looks like the rooms would be REALLY fun for your family to stay overnight) to the waterpark.

IT WAS HUGE!!

Just walking into the lodge was amazing.....they had tons of lights up and huge lit up snowflakes. There was a awesome gigantic fireplace and big trees and it was just incredible. Then we walked to the waterpark which also was HUGE! There was a wave pool, kiddie pools with slides, toys, etc. Slides for little kids, slides for big kids and slides for families and adults of course.

Breanna had a blast. She went down tiny slides, played on the toys, watched rob and I take turns on the big waterslides and played for hours in the pool with Rob.

They had amazing lifejackets for the kids and it actually made Breanna be able to "swim" with out us holding her up in a pool which was 4 feet deep!

My only advice is to wait til your 6 month baby is older to go :) He CLUNG onto me for dear life and would cry EVERY time I even started walking into a pool. I have never seen the little man so clingy and upset. He was perfectly content and happy on the side of the pool sitting there (while I stood there making sure he didn't move forwards towards the pool). He would crack up laughing at Breanna and Rob while they swam and then we got him a ball and that entertained him dropping it over and over into the pool and laughing.

**Unfortunately we didn't try this til the last 45 minutes and so my arms were dead tired from holding him the other hours :) I thought he would love the pool b/c he LOVES the bath.....apparently not!

Next time we go I want Breanna to be over 42 inches tall so she can ride the rides with us and Ethan be old enough to play and have fun like Breanna did this time. So, maybe when they're 3 and 5 1/2 years old. I would also love to stay there overnight, but I would wait til they're older to do that too so we don't have to take turns holding babies to ride on the slides!!!

It was a much needed break from the rain, rain, rain and more rain!!!!

Bigger Cousins Getting into Trouble (AKA having fun....most of the time)

Baby Cousins Getting into Trouble

3 weeks

Well the saying goes, "fish stink after 3 days" right??? Well how about 3 weeks? That's how long Breanna, Ethan and I stayed in CO for Christmas. Hopefully we didn't wear out our welcome, but we had TONS of fun. I'm so glad we got to go and make so many memories.
