Proof

Okay, I'm stealing photos from my friend Matti's blog to have proof that I was actually in Hawaii for the past week ! I had so much fun being able to go out there and help Michelle with new baby Paxton.

I did get "me" time though, which was heavenly and a great vacation for me before our new little baby comes. I missed Rob and Breanna like CRAZY, very homesick for them, but I am so greatful that I got to do this.

Here's some pics of a day at the beach that I got to go with Matti, Johnny, Matti's mom, and their adorable kids Eden and Texton.

It's kind of like "where's waldo", you have to search for me in the pics, but it is proof of me being there :) If you can't tell I am the freakishly white one in the pics. I am white b/c of being in Washington, but appparently am VERY sensitive to the sun this pregnancy. I would slather sunscreen on and have to get under shade after 15 min. of being in the sun b/c I would start burning!! So, therefore, I did NOT work on my tan :) But, it was so great to be on the beach and at the ocean and see SUNSHINE!!!!

We also got to see a seal! Fun times.

28 Weeks

Okay, I have been horrible this pregnancy and have not taken pics of myself. My awesome sister took a pic of me last week so I could have a picture of myself pregnant. I think I'm going to have to lie to this next baby and tell him some of the pics of me pregnant with Breanna are me pregnant with him. :) Just kidding!

Paxton Asher Black

Michelle is doing so well as a new mommy and Paxton is so precious. I'm so glad that I got to come out here and be with them and help out. Thanks to my wonderful husband for taking on watching Breanna each evening and dealing with her tantrums when things don't go her way. Thanks to all the wonderful ladies in the ward who are watching Breanna during the days.

Paxton is very happy little boy. He is calm and happy throughout the majority of the day. He does HATE his diaper being changed, baths and gets cranky for 3 hours each evening when all he wants to do is nurse. The rest of the day he is happy and calm. He is AMAZING at night. I've been getting up the first feeding around 1am and then Michelle does 4 or 4:30AM and then he sleeps again til 8ish WOW!!! I told Michelle she has the most awesome child and to enjoy every evening b/c this is amazing.

He loves his carseat and sleeps in it all night b/c he doesn't particularly like the bassinet....at all. He loves his head being rubbed by his mom. He is not easily tricked by the pacifier, he'd rather get the "good stuff" from mom :) He is so tiny, but eating VERY well and has got to be gaining weight. He gets super calm when he needs to poo....so unlike most babies, he just relaxes and does his thing!

We have been able to get out and about, go on walks, to the beach, shop for preemie clothes, get yummy Ted's bakery pie (I've been dreaming about it), and all sorts of stuff.

I went walking with him yesterday to let Michelle get a nap and a break and I went to the temple visitors center. All the sister missionaries LOVED him and just stared and swarmed to him. I did get quite funny glances and you could tell people are trying to figure out how I could be SO pregnant and have a newborn. I automatically say, "he's not mine, he's my sisters..." then the replies, "oh, that makes sense" or "i was trying to figure out what was going on", "i thought you had one twin early and still one inside", "maybe you adopted him and had one on the way". I think I'm going to stop saying anything and just let everyones imagination run free :)

Easter Sugar High

Breanna after jelly beans on Easter.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone! I am so greatful to spend the day today with my family. Rob didn't have to work today and got to go to church with us!! Wahoo! Breanna loved having him there and only wanted to play with him during sacrament meeting, so I had a nice relaxing time.

Unfortunately our little girl is sick and so we sped out of there after the first hour, so as to not spread her germs. She was not thrilled that she didn't get to go to nursery, but she is thankfully taking a much needed nap right now instead of being at nursery.

Here are a couple of pics of her "easter egg hunt". How sad does she look :( Although she looks bad, she still had a blast and we re-hid the eggs for her b/c she had so much fun and wanted to do it again. We will rehide them again tonight so Rob's parents can see her Easter egg hunt (through a web-cam on the internet). My parents also got to see her hunt for eggs watching on my dad's laptop in his hospital room. I'm very greatful for technology!!

Zoo Day

This week we went to the zoo with some friends from the ward. We got to ride there and back with the Kirkwoods, which was lots of fun. Pam and I got to socialize while the kids watched a dvd in their fancy van :) No crying in the car from Breanna, which doesn't happen very often!

I was babysitting another little girl the whole week, so I had 2 toddlers and my pregnant self to haul around the zoo. Thanks to all the ladies who helped me out...especially thanks for your kind words and taking my daughter away from me for a bit when she was on my last nerve (the entire zoo could hear her screaming throughout her 20 minute tantrum).

The girls did pretty well listening to me and had lots of fun looking at the animals. I stole some pics off of Pam Kirkwoods blog, b/c thank goodness, she actually had a camera, a brand new one too (her dream camera), while I forgot to even bring one. Even if I had brought one, I'm sure I wouldn't have used it, I was too busy making sure the girls didn't run in opposite directions :)

I love going to the zoo, b/c each time we go Breanna likes it more and more because she knows more about different animals, can name them, get excited to see them and loves being out and about.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day too, I think 68 degrees or so with BLUE SKIES!!! And SUNSHINE!!

Thanks for the fun day at the zoo!

Baby Boy Black

My sister Michelle did in fact have a baby boy! He was born at 12:11 am on the 7th of April. He weighed in at...........6 lbs 0.9 ounces! He did however pee twice within like 30 minutes of being born so he is probably somewhere in the high 5s. Michelle did great and I'm so proud of her!

Baby Boy Black is adorable, he's tiny, but has brown hair and funny facial expressions. (I got to see some videos). For now, no pics, waiting on the new Mom and Dad to post some, so they can be the bearers of GREAT news!

He has had some complications since the birth and is currently on all sorts of monitors and in an incubator. He is working hard on breathing and eating, so they have him on oxygen and a heart monitor and on an IV for nutrition. Michelle and Todd are very anxious and can't wait to be able to hold their little guy. He's so cute and is a little fighter.

Congrats Michelle and Todd...our prayers are with you for your new little guy and hope he can get out his incubator soon and into your arms!!

Baby Day

My sister Michelle was induced this morning and the last I heard (an hour ago) is that they had just broke her water!!!!!!! I can't wait to find out more details and hope the delivery goes well! I'm guessing he'll be here at 2:22PM HST so, we'll see, if so that'll be a very fast day! Love you Michelle and Todd and can't wait to see baby boy Black!
